How it Works

Discuss your Parkinson’s care needs
Documenting medical needs is the easy part. Where the work comes in is understanding your loved one’s personality, their triggers and limitations, any barriers to potentially accepting care for the first time, and the little things we can add to their lives by way of a caregiver that will put a smile on their face.
Meet our caregivers
You’ll meet several fully vetted caregivers, each with a summary of their skills and experience, activities they enjoy engaging in with clients, personality traits, background and interests, quotes from their reference transcripts, and a photo from their in-person interview. From there, you can interview either in-person or over the phone or video call or simply decide based on their profile.
Services begin
We do our best to keep things simple and find the perfect match for your loved one on our first time around and are encouraged by how often this happens. However, if things are not quite clicking, our client managers will take your feedback and go back to the drawing board for a more fitting solution. Above and beyond is the expectation, not the exception, with peace of mind as the ultimate outcome.

Professional Parkinson’s Caregivers
Our caregivers have experience using strategies for managing motor symptoms such as tremors, rigidity, and freezing episodes, as well as non-motor challenges like depression or cognitive changes. Collaboration is key to our approach and our caregivers work in coordination with other disciplines, such as physical therapists, neurologists, and family doctors, to create a cohesive care experience.
Our dedicated team of Candidate Managers are responsible for proactively vetting new caregivers to ensure we always have the best fit available for your current and future needs. Running a background check and verifying certifications is the easy part. Where our team adds value is the time spent by Reference Managers speaking with two or more local families that each applicant worked for long-term, assessing each reference for caliber, skills, validity, enthusiasm, and accuracy.
Once past the reference stage, every caregiver comes in for an in-person interview where our Candidate Managers carefully observe their personality, communication skills, punctuality, focus, flexibility, and demeanor. Ultimately, the process ends by asking the most important question of all – “Is this someone I would trust in my own home to take care of my own family?” We accept only 5% of caregiver applicants, using a meticulous selection process, and enforce a one-strike policy to maintain our high standards.
With our rigorous vetting process and careful matching, you can be confident that our caregivers are not only highly qualified but also compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to enhancing your loved one’s quality of life.

Our commitment to quality begins with our CHAP accreditation and state licensing, ensuring we meet the highest industry standards for safety and care. Unlike corporate or franchised agencies, LifeWorx is privately owned and operated, which grants us the opportunity to work closely with clients and their families to address their unique circumstances with a customized plan. Our rates are straightforward and all-inclusive, with no hidden fees or overtime charges.
Anyone can walk into our ground level offices and speak with our team directly. Our in-office team works together to ensure every decision is focused on delivering the best care for your loved one.
Institutional settings tend to have strict routines, but our services are flexible and designed to fit seamlessly into your loved one’s day-to-day life. Whether they need a companion for a morning walk or a nurse to manage post-surgical care, we can adapt to their preferences and needs.
We understand the importance of trust and consistency in caregiving. Unlike other agencies that shuffle caregivers frequently, we prioritize stability by minimizing caregiver changes and acting only on feedback from you and your family. This means your loved one benefits from a familiar face and a consistent level of care, making every day just a little bit easier.
