Our Alzheimer’s Care Services
Since 2004, LifeWorx has served over 2500 families with compassionate and reliable in-home Alzheimer’s care services that seniors and their families can depend on.
LifeWorx is guided by the expertise of Dr. Howard Fillit, a renowned geriatrician and neuroscientist who helps shape our approach to in-home care for Alzheimer’s patients. This collaboration allows us to provide care that is compassionate and informed by cutting-edge research.
Our in-home Alzheimer’s care helps clients navigate their days with less stress and greater ease. From helping maintain daily routines to providing reminders for medications, our caregivers help keep your loved one calm and comfortable. They can recognize and respond to the unpredictable behaviors associated with Alzheimer’s, such as aggression and confusion.
Whether your loved one needs part-time companionship to 24-hour live-in care to private duty nursing, we strive to meet each client’s needs. Your single point of contact will work with you to identify options and match you with the perfect caregiver, giving you peace of mind and confidence in your loved one’s well-being.
Those with Alzheimer’s can require ongoing companionship, and your caregiver will act as your eyes and ears and be there when you can’t be. They will be a partner in advocacy in maintaining your loved one’s dignity, health, and independence in their later years.
Alzheimer’s Care
Memory loss comes with unique challenges. Our in-home Alzheimer’s care emphasizes respect, patience, and understanding in even the most challenging moments. Our caregivers are experienced in assisting individuals living with Alzheimer’s, and are equipped to navigate the changes in memory, personality, and behavior that come with it.
- Memory Care and Cognitive Stimulation
Engaging the mind can help slow the progression of memory loss and give moments of clarity and joy to those living with Alzheimer’s. Our caregivers take part in meaningful activities such as memory games, music therapy, and reminiscing about memories. These interactions can reduce confusion, promote connection, and bring a sense of familiarity and comfort to daily routines. - Personal Care and Health Monitoring
We understand that managing personal care can become difficult for those with Alzheimer’s. Our caregivers assist with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, always prioritizing dignity and comfort. Our caregivers also assist with managing medications and monitoring overall health to prevent complications and assist their care team in proactively addressing changes. - Safety and Wandering Prevention
Keeping loved ones safe is a top priority. Our caregivers address concerns such as wandering, restlessness, and unpredictable behaviors with a calm, understanding approach, prioritizing safety and comfort. By providing attentive supervision and appropriate interventions, we help reduce the risk of wandering while maintaining a relaxing atmosphere. - Emotional Support and Behavioral Management
Living with Alzheimer’s can bring about emotional changes such as anxiety, agitation, or confusion. Using techniques like redirection, our caregivers meet clients where they are in the moment, helping to reduce stress and create a peaceful environment. When you’re visiting your loved one, our caregivers provide an extra set of hands to assist with any behaviors, making your time more pleasant and less stressful. - Daily Living Activities (ADLs) & Household Management
Our caregivers assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, mobility support, and toileting. They also help take care of household tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe, comfortable home environment.

Private Duty Nursing
Private duty nursing can be beneficial for individuals with advanced Alzheimer’s or coexisting medical conditions. Our nurses ensure medical interventions are handled with sensitivity to the client’s cognitive challenges, allowing them to receive high-quality treatment in the comfort of their home.
Our nursing team is led by our highly qualified Director of Patient Services, Dwiann Morgan, who is licensed and oversees the Directors of Nursing in each state where we operate. Our nurses are experienced professionals who bring compassion and expertise to every client. They are trained to provide specialized medical support beyond the scope of caregivers, including administering IV injections, wound care, medication management, and g-tube feeding. This level of support is vital for clients recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or requiring close medical supervision.
Whether your loved one requires temporary nursing care following a hospital discharge or simply prefers the peace of mind that a more extensively trained professional can provide, private duty nursing offers a flexible, personalized solution for your needs. Our nurses work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to create a seamless care experience, so you can rest assured knowing they’re in the best hands.
Flexible care that fits your needs

Companion Care
Loneliness and isolation are common concerns for individuals with Alzheimer’s. Our companion care services offer meaningful interactions and emotional support. Caregivers engage clients in activities they enjoy, help with daily tasks, and create a sense of connection that strengthens emotional and mental health.
While we can’t guarantee that a client with Alzheimer’s will always recognize their long-term caregiver as their disease progresses, the goal is for your loved one to see them as a compassionate, helpful presence in their life, providing mental stimulation when desired and a calm presence when Alzheimer’s related behaviors start to manifest and frustrations increase.
Where isolation can worsen the challenges of Alzheimer’s, regular activity and social interactions promote mental stimulation and emotional connection. From enjoying a cup of coffee together while flipping through family photo albums to playing board games and cards, our caregivers build meaningful relationships that make each day special. These small moments make a big difference in maintaining a positive outlook and sense of routine with the aim of retaining cognitive function as much as possible.
Whether your loved one needs companionship a few hours a week or more regular support, we can customize our in-home Alzheimer’s care to meet your family’s needs.

How it Works

Discuss your care needs
Documenting medical needs is the easy part. Where the work comes in is understanding your loved one’s personality, their triggers and limitations, any barriers to potentially accepting care for the first time, and the little things we can add to their lives by way of a caregiver that will put a smile on their face.
Meet our caregivers
You’ll meet several fully vetted caregivers, each with a biography summarizing their skills and experience, activities they enjoy engaging in with clients, personality traits, background and interests, quotes from their reference transcripts, and a photo from their in-person interview. From there, you can interview either in-person, over the phone, video call, or simply decide based on their profile.
Services begin
We do our best to keep things simple and find the perfect match for your loved one on our first time around and are encouraged by how often this happens. However, if things are not quite clicking, our Client Managers will take your feedback and go back to the drawing board for a more fitting solution. Above and beyond is the expectation, not the exception, with peace of mind as the ultimate outcome.
Find the perfect caregiver today
“I first started working at LifeWorx in 2016 as a candidate manager, responsible for finding and vetting the caregivers we send into client’s homes. This was toward the tail-end of my grandmother’s 15+ year journey with Alzheimer’s, the majority of which she spent with a full-time live-in caregiver. This company’s mission and the standards to which we hold ourselves are profoundly personal to me.
—Jess Letizia, COO
Alzheimer’s Home Care Staff
We understand the trust our clients place in us when inviting a caregiver into their home, and we take this responsibility seriously. Our dedicated team of Candidate Managers is responsible for proactively vetting new caregivers to ensure we always have the best fit available for your current and future needs.
Running a background check and verifying certifications is the easy part. Where our home care agency adds value is the time spent by Reference Managers speaking with two or more local families that each applicant worked for long-term, assessing each reference for caliber, skills, validity, enthusiasm, and accuracy.
Once past the reference stage, every caregiver comes in for an in-person interview where our Candidate Managers carefully observe their personality, communication skills, punctuality, focus, flexibility, and demeanor. Our Client Managers then meet with each applicant as well, getting to know more about their background and what makes them unique to best match them with clients.
Ultimately, the process ends by asking the most important question of all – “Is this someone I would trust in my home to take care of my own family?” We accept only 5% of caregiver applicants, using a meticulous selection process, and enforce a one-strike policy to maintain our high standards.
With our rigorous vetting process and careful matching, you can be confident that our caregivers are not only highly qualified but also compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to enhancing your loved one’s quality of life.
