I don’t wanna be corny, but it’s almost like a family relationship.
It almost feels like I’m going to my grandparents’ house—that I’m coming in, I’m saying hello, we’re sharing hugs and, you know, going right into a nice meal, to lovely conversation.
It really doesn’t feel like I’m clocking in, and okay, time to get to work. It really feels like I’m almost coming home in a way.
I’ve spent so many Thanksgivings and Christmases working, but it didn’t feel like work. I’m surrounded by friends, I’m surrounded by people I consider family, and those are times that I’m like, wow, I can’t believe I get paid to do this.
I can’t believe this is a job because I’m just enjoying my holiday, but I’m here and it’s an amazing feeling.
