For nearly two decades, Vida has worked one-on-one with many clients, providing medical support and assistance with love and understanding. Her journey began in 2008 when she completed her Home Health Aide training course and certification. Since then, she has constantly displayed an exceptional level of dedication to her profession.

Vida doesn’t just see her clients as individuals in need of care, but as family members. This deep sense of responsibility and empathy is what truly sets her apart. Her work is always characterized by compassion, diligence, integrity, and love. “I see my clients as my own grandma, grandpa, or brother or sister. So, I treat them with respect,” she shares.

Vida understands that her client’s trust is paramount. Her punctuality and reliability reinforce this trust. “My time is very important, but when I’m assigned a case at 10 o’clock, I get there before 10 o’clock,” she notes. Her reliability means that everyone can depend on her, regardless of the circumstances. She believes this approach is essential for gaining the trust of not just the clients, but their families as well.

Her infectious laugh and warm personality have become trademarks of her caregiving style. Throughout her career, she’s encountered many challenges, but she faces each one with a smile. Vida’s philosophy on caregiving is simple yet profound: “if you don’t have a big heart to do this work, you cannot achieve what you want to achieve.” She works to maintain a positive attitude, which not only uplifts the people she supports but also creates a more nurturing environment.

Her advice to others in the caregiving profession is rooted in the importance of patience and respect for her clients’ autonomy. “The best thing is patience. It’s tough. You don’t have to do things your own way. Give them the room. Do it the way they want it,” she shares.
