I feel so lucky that my mother is being taken care of by aides from LifeWorx. We found the service through her long-term care insurance provider, which requires a licensed agency to qualify for reimbursement. My mother only needs part-time care, and LifeWorx was the only one of the recommended agencies willing to do half-days. When I first started this process, I was worried about how difficult or stressful it might be, but working with LifeWorx has eased my mind in every way.
LifeWorx has been indispensable for me and my sisters in helping to find excellent caregivers for our 90-year-old mom. Mom has some cognitive difficulties but was resistant to accepting a caregiver in her home. The 2 caregivers chosen by our mom, Aby and Cynthia, have been caring, reliable, and trustworthy, helping in so many ways that have improved her safety and quality of life, while still being able to live independently in her apartment. When I contacted LifeWorx, I got an immediate response. My mother was quickly matched with a companion and we were set up with an interview. I thought it would be quick and formal, but I was pleasantly surprised that both Jeff and the companion took their time to chat with my mother to see if there would be a personality fit. It was very comfortable! My mom had a match and looks forward to her weekly visits! This agency has been an absolute life saver. We needed to hire 24-hour assistance for my 94-year-old father in law who is living in an assisted living environment but closer supervision was required after repeated falls. He’s been an advocate for his health and mobility as well as compassionate and kind. The agency was very responsive in finding the right people to work with him. Yes, we are a licensed Home Health Care Agency in New York, New Jersey, and Sarasota, FL. We are in the process of obtaining our license in Connecticut. We also have our companion license in West Palm Beach, FL, and Connecticut.

Can I make schedule changes if something comes up?
A consistent schedule is helpful, however, once you establish a relationship with your LifeWorx care provider you will certainly have the flexibility to adjust as needed.
Will you coordinate services with other companies and individuals involved in my care?
We will cooperate and help coordinate services with other agencies or entities involved in your care. Additionally, we can offer referrals to other healthcare providers as needed.
Does your company have insurance?
Yes, LifeWorx is fully insured for all our services.
How will you help protect me and my family from infectious diseases?
We continuously follow and implement recommendations from the CDC. We have provided care for 10 COVID-19 patients and all have recovered while preserving the health of our caregivers.
What kind of details can I prepare before I call LifeWorx?
There is no need to prepare. We look forward to having an open conversation regarding your loved one’s situation. We will discuss what their needs are and together we will explore how we can improve their environment, state of health, and overall well-being.
If I move, what can you do to help me continue my service?
Our network includes caregivers not only in the tri-state area but also in Florida, catering to “snowbirds” and those relocating to warmer climates. Additionally, we have caregivers who can travel with your family if you’re planning a lengthy vacation or relocation, ensuring continuity of care wherever life takes you
What makes LifeWorx different?
LifeWorx specializes in the way we vet our candidates. We are very diligent in our screening process. Our caregivers have undergone background checks, reference checks, as well as a lengthy interview assessing their skills and personality. We give superior service to all our clients and are always there for any needs that should arise.
How quickly can you initiate service?
Depending on the needs of the client, we can start services the next day. If the need is very specialized, it may take an additional day or two.
What is the difference between live-in and live-out caregivers or Nannies?
A Live-in is someone who can live in the home with you and be there in case of an emergency or assist in nighttime responsibilities. Live-in caregivers are there 24 hours a day, but typically have up to 13 working hours and can sleep at night for a minimum of 8 hours, with 5 of them being consecutive. A Live-out Home Health Aide or Nanny or Housekeeper is someone who will come and work during the day and leave at the end of the day.
How much notice do you need for a cancellation? For a replacement? For a fill-in?
Typically, the more notice the better but we understand that life happens. Give our local office a call to discuss more and we will help find you a replacement or fill-in based on your needs and concerns.
Does LifeWorx have a nurse on staff?
Yes, LifeWorx has registered nurses (RN) on staff who do nurse visits, initial assessment, plan of care, medication management, post-surgery care, and medical monitoring for our clients. We have licensed nurses in all four states: New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Connecticut.
Are you a certified agency?
LifeWorx is a certified home health care agency. We are also among the top 7% of agencies that have CHAP accreditation.
