My name is Lisa Purdy and I am a Candidate Relations Associate at our Sarasota location and I am responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates, conducting reference checks and background checks, creating job descriptions, and posting them on various websites in Sarasota County and surrounding areas.
I hope to bring my expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist when recommending levels of care for families looking for elder care and bring highly qualified caregivers that I would trust with my own family members.
Prior to LifeWorx, I worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in numerous settings such as inpatient rehab facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and schools. My responsibilities as an SLP were to diagnose speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders and treat them via therapy.
I went to the University of Central Florida and obtained my bachelor’s degree in communication disorders. I then earned my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University.
I was born in New Orleans, LA but have been in Florida for 30 years and lived in Sarasota for 7 years. During my time off she enjoys spending time with my husband and 3 children. I enjoyed traveling, going hiking in the mountains, making/creating crafts, and playing with the dogs.
