She started her career at American Express, where she gained the marketing know-how necessary to start one’s own firm. Throughout her career, Kathy has grown several entrepreneurial businesses and served on the leadership team at Circles, a large scale call center company. Kathy has served as CEO of a real estate concierge service, where she expanded operational and infrastructure development. Kathy earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BS in marketing from Boston College.
Janet Hanson is the founder of 85 Broads, a global network of 35,000 trailblazing women who are invested in each other’s professional and personal success. Janet has over 35 years of professional experience, and is a proven leader and innovator in the business world. She has spent many years focused on improving the standing and respect of women in the business world. Janet started her career at Goldman Sachs, working her way up to a Vice Presidential position. She started Milestone Capital Management, the first woman-owned institutional money market fund company in the United States. She was a managing Director at Lehman Brothers, focusing on highlighting what made the firm a great place for women to work. Aside from her involvement with 85 Broads and LifeWorx, she currently serves on the advisory board of goaloop. Ms. Hanson earned her Master of Business Administration in finance from Columbia Business School and her undergraduate degree in government from Wheaton College.
Sallie Fraenkel is an Executive Vice President for Global Spa & Wellness Summit. She started her career as a Marketing Manager with Cableentertainment, where she was responsible for marketing to a group of 34 cable systems. She then joined Showtime Networks Inc. for 20 years, working her way through the company to becoming a Senior Vice President in Program Enterprises and Distribution. In 2004, she became the Chief Operating Officer for SpaFinder, Inc. She joined Global Spa & Wellness Summit in May of 2013. Sallie earned her BA in Communications and Marketing from Pennsylvania State University, and her BA in Communication and Media Studies through a study abroad program at Manchester University.
James A. Lawrence is the Chairman of Rothschild North America. He has been a leader in the business world for more than 35 years. Jim started his career as a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group, before joining Bain & Company where he eventually made partner. He founded LEK Consulting, where he served as Chairman for nine years, before becoming CEO in Asia, Middle East, and Africa for Pepsico in the mid-1990’s. He served as an Executive Vice President and CFO for Northwest Airlines for two years and as the Vice Chairman, CFO, and Head of International Practices for General Mills for nine years. He also served as an Executive Director and CFO for Unilever for three years before becoming CEO and Chairman of Rothschild North America and co-head of Global Investment Banking. Jim earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA in Economics from Yale University.
Elizabeth Hirsch is a vice president and controller of Praxair, Inc. She started her career as a credit analyst with Fidelity Union Trust Company before joining Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, where she eventually became a Vice President. In 1995, Elizabeth joined Praxair, Inc. as a director of corporate finance and then as an assistant treasurer. She was appointed director of Investor Relations in 2002, and obtained her current position as Vice President and Controller of Investor Relations. She earned her MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and her Bachelor’s degree in economics from Smith College.
Scott Morrison is a Vice President of Technology for Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation. Throughout his career, he has proven himself as a leader in the healthcare industry. In the past, Scott worked as Vice President and Senior Director of Business Technology for Pfizer, Inc., before joining Boehringer Ingelheim as an Executive Director for Business Administration Systems. Scott holds a Master’s of Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
